Art Journal Emporium - Week in Review #6 February 13 2015, 0 Comments

Hold on a second, I need to shake some glitter off of me. February just EXPLODED with art and inspiration.

Sweet Treats

Members of the Emporium are being treated royally this Valentine’s weekend with some incredible offers on workshops. Now is your chance to catch up on past years of the caravan or any other workshop you might have missed.

Swaps Announced

In case you missed it! Emporium members are invited to join ATC and postcard swaps. I’m super excited. Are you joining?

BeMused Cards, Grab Bag, and Collage…oh my!

February’s collage sheets and video are up. I’m looking forward to seeing what the art explorers in the Emporium create! I also wanted to give you a quick reminder that the BeMused cards and some of the collage scatters from January have some Valentine themes to them so they would be good to use on projects this month. And, finally, have you seen the grab bag stuff?  It’s available in the shop now and it is fantastic!

The Daily Art Dose

This section of the Emporium never fails to brighten my day (no matter how much homework I have).

Today’s prompt of ‘hug’ is done spectacularly by Kay.

Marilyn’s cute pig made me smile and I hope it makes you smile too.

February Challenge

There is just too much awesomeness going around in this classroom.

Anne Lou is focusing on red shoes for her challenge. I love the watercolor look to her layout.

Fonda has turned to blue for her inspiration. The chalk marker here looks great.

And Cindy is doing hearts. I could not pass up that cute little owl.

Art Journal Emporium Book Club

Balinda’s illustrated quote is fantastic. She “remembered to let go of perfection and just love the journey.” Well, we all love the face too.

This page by Liz reminds us that art can be everywhere and everything, even “just memory keepers.”

That’s it for this week. Don’t forget to tag your art with #artjournalemporium and #thedailyartdose when you share it on social media. We’ll see you here again next week!
