Art Journal Emporium: Week in Review #1 January 09 2015, 2 Comments

We have just finished the first full week of January’s Art Journal Emporium. Even in just this short time we've done so much--and we have a whole lot more in store.  So far we have chosen a word for the year, worked with daily prompts, and started an Emporium book club…and it’s only the 9th!

  • Word for the Year 2015

This mini workshop had our art explorers delving deep into themselves to come up with some truly inspirational ideas.

Donna M. created this gorgeous two page spread for her word, cherish.

This inspiring word of the year spread was made by Liz W.

  • The Daily Art Dose – January

Voyagers on an art excursion can experience a daily dose of inspiration in these simple daily prompts designed to inspire short bursts of creativity.

Cindy S.'s spread for our first daily prompt contains gesso, butterflies, and some splattery layers. What more can you ask for?

Marilyn C. has created zentangles for some of our daily prompts.

  • Emporium Book Club

The first week of our book club has uncovered many creative insights and inspired some incredible pages.

Kay O. encourages "no more settling" in her quick sketch in response to our reading.

Mindy A. has a riot of color and gorgeousness going on in her spread.

Whew!  So much art journaling beauty and we have just gotten started. Stay tuned for more creative and inspirational art in upcoming posts. If you want to get in on the fun, there is still time to join the Art Journal Emporium!
