At the End of My Pen TWO {Workshop}

$ 19.95

We're mixing things up in "At the End of my Pen TWO"--we're going to be using black paper and white pens as a way to switch this up! It seems the perfect combination for October!

How this class series started:

The power of imagination makes us infinite.

A black pen, 21 pieces of white paper, 10 minutes a day. That is all you need to join me on this new adventure!

-----------------------------------------------
A note found in my journal:

It would seem that I have every fabulous drawing book there is out there. Opening each one of them you think I'd feel inspired and know where to start! Instead, I feel all twisted up inside & decide to forget the whole thing. But what if I drew for 10 minutes a day just because, well I wanted to. Just because I have a pen and a piece of paper? Just because I can and want to. Let go of what you see, of what you can imitate. If you drew & journaled 10 minutes a day, what sorts of amazing little art would come from the end of your pen?

-----------------------------------------------

This workshop is a very personal one for me as I used this technique the last few months to deal with huge amounts of stress. Sometimes, we make things so complicated. Sometimes we let art journaling be so overwhelming, sometimes we get in our own way, sometimes we buy too many supplies, sometimes we get hung up on technique, sometimes we forget why we are doing what we are doing. And sometimes we live in fear that we don't measure up to "what others are doing". That is the worst one of all. For two reasons 1) We can only improve our talents by practicing and 2) You are you, they are them. Sometimes we need to accept our talents and abilities for what they are, not what they aren't! This isn't a drawing class, this is a doing class. This is about finding out what lives at the end of our pen, for just 10 minutes a day. This is about letting go of excuses. This is about being brave enough to find out what we are capable of and accepting that glorious discovery for what is is, instead of thinking about what it isn't.
