Stretching Your Stash: 1 Kit, 4 Pages January 21 2016, 4 Comments

Are you on a budget?  You're not alone!  That's why when I go in search of my next digital art purchase, versatility is at the top of my list.  I try to pick a product that will stand the test of time, a product I can reuse over and again in any season, for any topic, and in many different styles.

In this post I will show how you can stretch your stash to do the same.  I'm going to take you on a journey to see how one kit can create four separate pages without feeling overused.  Today I am only working with Bountiful  and Bountiful {Mixed-Media Papers} by Tangie Baxter and a couple of templates, credited below.

Art Journal style layout:

For this layout I used a couple of the mixed media papers, along with some elements to create a background that is colorful yet muted and full of depth.

Cluster style layout:

Here I worked on creating contrast between the stark clean paper and the layers upon layers of bright elements which draw the eye and give the image several interesting focal points.

Pocket style layout:

Though pocket scrapping is not my forte, it has become so popular in recent years that I thought I'd give it a go.  While journal cards are their own kind of awesome, there's no reason to feel tied down to them, especially when you're working digitally.  In this page I've created my own journal and filler cards from elements and papers in the kit.

Simplistic style layout:

Sometimes all you need is a few elements to make a bold statement.  For this page, though I used hardly any elements, I tried to create interest by adding some color pops and mixing plain and patterned papers.

There you have it, one kit and four ways to interpret it.  Thinking outside the box is a great way to make sure you're using your digital products to their fullest extent.  Do you have any great tips for stretching your stash? Leave a comment below!

I am always on the hunt for a great deal.  If you are too, head over to TB&CO to see the amazing and versatile products available.
